| Tradition and innovation. Cocoon was developed by Häring Nepple AG of Switzerland, a leading expert in specialised building solutions founded in 1937 by Otto Häring, a master in plaster work. 1937: Otto Häring founds the business, giving it his name.
1965: Wolfgang Nepple takes over the business from Otto Häring, steering the company into the 2nd generation.
1997: Werner Nepple takes over the business from his father and transforms the sole proprietorship Otto Häring into the newly founded Häring Nepple AG.
1998: Launch of the lightweight steel construction method under the Cocoon name. A vision takes on reality. Founding of Cocoon Vision AG for the lightweight steel construction sector.
2002: First large-scale museum project using Cocoon lightweight steel construction method. Schaulager in Münchenstein, Switzerland.
2003: First large-scale project with more than three floors to use Cocoon lightweight steel construction method.
2011: Merge of Cocoon and Häring Nepple. Consolidation of the activities of both companies to focus on the challenges of the 21st Century to efficient use of limited resources
